BJP Urges Holiday: Siddaramaiah Yet to Review Requests for Holiday on January 22
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has clarified that no decision has been made regarding the declaration of a holiday on January 22, the day of the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. In response to the BJP’s request for a holiday on this occasion, Siddaramaiah stated that he has not had the opportunity to review the request letters. “We will see,” he said.
The opposition leaders from the BJP have been persistently urging the state government to declare a holiday on January 22, allowing people to participate in the significant religious ceremony. State BJP chief B Y Vijayendra emphasized the direct connection of Lord Rama with Kishkinda, the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, as a reason for declaring a holiday on this auspicious day. However, Siddaramaiah has yet to make a decision on this matter, awaiting further information and review of the request letters before reaching a conclusion.
